Posted in business, china, entrepreneur, etalk by uen on July 6th, 2010

Today's On Air! podcast begins a new series of podcasts where we sit down and talk with successful entrepreneurs about their businesses. We wanted to peel back the onion to hear how they got started, how they overcame challenges in starting and growing their business, discuss in depth on successes and failures, and get insights into what drives them and their companies on a daily basis. We are going to call our new podcast series ETALK. Short for entrepreneur talk.

In the first episode of ETALK I had the pleasure of talking with Keith Pauley, President and CEO of MATRIC which stands for the Mid-Atlantic Technology, Research and Innovation Center. MATRIC is located in South Charleston, WV.

Keith is a West Virginia native and through his leadership has met the challenge of creating MATRIC in 2004 against all odds. MATRIC is an economic development success story that demonstrates how local business and community leaders that came together towards a common goal and attracted the right leadership to fulfill their vision has created a center of innovation and technology by leveraging existing human assets that would have been lost forever.

Keith shares his educational background and exciting projects while at NASA. We delve into MATRIC's international growth in Italy and China and the opportunities they are exploring. In closing, Keith answers some interesting questions about him so be sure to tune in to the end. It was a great show and we look forward to bringing more of these shows each week.
